Anonymous asked: According to your steam page, you only have .4 hours (24 minutes) on record for steam, but you've earned 40% of the achievements. How did you accomplish such an impressive feat?

And what did you think of TF2 in your half hour of playing it?

You have the wrong statistics, I have 1927 hours just in garrysmod!  Unless you’re talking about Team Fortress 2.  On TF2 I went on a lot of achievement getting servers, but stopped playing when I got VAC banned (which was bullshit).  I’ll write a TF2 review a little later.

Anonymous asked: Best wifi game? (besides brawl)

Well I don’t think that’s a hard one (assuming you’re talking about wii wifi, which I hope you are ( try to be more specific =p )) so I wont go on a rant here like I normally do.  Mario Kart Wii is probably THE best game for Wii’s wifi capabilities.  MKW has a KILLER netcode, and runs smooth as the round side of a bagel even on slow internet connections.

Anonymous asked: What do you think of the monster hunter series? Or more specifically Monster Hunter Tri?

To be completely honest, I haven’t liked one of Capcom’s games since  Megaman-X5.  To be BRUTALLY honest: despite the reviews on IGN giving it an 8.8, the game looked weak.  I never played it, and I don’t intend to.

Anonymous asked: Where do you think gaming as an industry is going? Now I'm not talking about systems shown at E3 (Xbox 360 slim? Looks like a deformed wii, imho.), I'm talking maybe 10, 20 years down the road. You envisioning any major jumps in technology? I, personally, am not really into the 3D TV/Gaming idea, but I suppose a transition into that is more or less inevitable, its just a question of how far down the road. Maybe more into motion sensitive games? Anyways, just wanted to know what your thoughts are.

10 or 20 years?  Damn that’s a long time.  I wish I could answer that question my friend.  I really wish that I could look into the future and see what we would have!  But let me give you a contrast picture from the last 20 year jump.

http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/8643/contrast.png

So you can probably guess that at the time tetris was released they had no idea that they would have 3D games where you could see every bullet hole, every blade of grass, have surround sound, etc.

They probably thought that graphics would just keep improving, and that those little falling blocks would look incredibly kick ass (which actually has happened, but so much more happened as well.).  Obviously, the types of game we see today will probably be played them with perfected graphics, which are 3D without needing glasses, and playing them with our minds (no joke it’s called a Neural Impulse Actuator, they already work really well.).  But because of breakthrough games and technologies there is no way to tell what else will be out there.  For instance no one had even so much as thought for a split second about 3D gaming.  Suddenly BAM! DOOM comes out and everyone wants in on the 3D stuff!  So the games we have today will be perfected, but because of breakthroughs, you can’t make an accurate prediction of the rest of the market.

Anonymous asked: What's your opinion on LOZ: MM?
I just started playing it, and I thought that the 3 day cycle system was a somewhat annoying, but still interesting feature.

I’m not going to give a full review on MM because I never played it extensively to be honest.  I spent much more time replaying OOT over and over… and over…    … …    .. and over.  I found the game annoying, it didn’t fit my tastes, but I’d be an idiot to say it was “bad”.  The way that you could put on masks and become different creatures, which all had different abilities, was really cool.  But I really wish they would have just done this in OOT with the happy mask shop.  I didn’t like the way the masks were needed to complete the storyline (not that you needed ALL of them), I think that a system like that should be reserved for a) fun — and b) secret areas.  All in all, it was a good game, but I just wasn’t feelin it.

Oh, and the moon was cool ^^

Anonymous asked: What's your opinion on Half Life 2, and for that matter, the Half Life Series in General?

Ah yes, the Half-Life series.  Some of the best quality games out there, always cutting edge at their time of release.

Graphics - 10/10: Like I said always cutting edge at their time of release.  Half life 2 was THE SHIT when it came out, you didn’t get better graphics.

Storyline (HL1) - 8/10: Quite average, but certain aspects that I can’t really pick out made it very fun.  Worth a play but didn’t explain the combine in HL2 (even though they are EXPLAINED in hl2, why didn’t we get to play through the part where they come in?  It’s like the series is missing a game!)

Storyline (HL2) - 10/10:  Could not be better, this storyline is on par with legends like The Legend Of Zelda :Ocarina Of Time.  The storyline constantly keeps you wondering whats around the next corner, it keeps you involved, gives you clues as to what’s around that corner that you’re getting ever closer to.  Then suddenly BAM! It hits you with a twist.

Gameplay - 9/10: excellent gameplay, but the games still had a FEW monotonous parts that made you want to tape down your analogue stick or keyboard key, and just let the game do it.  Aside from those few parts though, the game tries to add in new mechanics such as a vehicle every now and then, and keep you from getting tired of the same types of tasks.  Even in the first game you could see that when fighting the three headed monster (the “first boss”), you had to throw grenades to distract it from your footstep sounds.

Overall for the series - 9/10:  Half life 1 wasn’t nearly AS good as HL2, but it was still killer, and HL2 brings the score up to just below perfect!
